Manhattan Community Investment in Character and Leadership

We are currently in the process of kicking off our Investment in Character and Leadership Campaign (which has been formerly known as Friends of Scouting) in Manhattan, KS. We are proud to introduce our new campaign chair for 2021, William “Bill” Turner.

Bill is an Eagle Scout who attended the United States Military Academy(USMA) and commissioned into the United States Army in May 1986.  Bill retired in Feb 2018 after nearly 32 years of service at the rank of Brigadier General. Bill is currently serving as President of both the Ft Riley-Central Kansas Chapter of the Association of the United States Army and the Armed Forces Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation. He is presently working as a Senior Mentor with the Mission Command Training Program at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas.  He also participates in major Army warfighting exercises offering experienced based mentoring, teaching and training recommendations to senior Army leaders.

Bill and Krystal Baldwin, Konza Development Executive, would like to ask the Manhattan community for assistance in being a 2021 worker. This would entail asking 10 individuals on our donor list to support the ICL  campaign for 2021. Our goal is to recruit 20-30 workers . If you would be interested in supporting the campaign please contact Bill Turner  bill.a.turner86@gmail.com or Krystal Baldwin krystal.baldwin@scouting.com
