November begins the process of rechartering your Scouting unit.  It is a great opportunity to verify the contact information of your Scouts and leaders and follow up on your unit's Journey to Excellence for 2011.  Every unit will recharter using the online system this year and it is important to have the adult in charge get the access code for the process.  We understand that some of the access codes that went out were not correct.  If you need your code you can contact your District Executive, District Commissioner, or the Council Service Center.

We hope that you will make an effort to reengage Scouts who may have missed recent meetings prior to deciding to drop them.  We cannot impact the youth that are not in our program and recharter time is a perfect opportunity to invite them back to active participation.  It is important that your unit get started soon in order to complete your recharter on time.  We have many volunteers that can assist you with the process or meet you to provide internet access if needed.
