April 29th College of Commissioner Science
This College of Commissioner Science is unit service training designed to educate all commissioners, roundtable staff, District or Council Committeemen, and professional Scouters. Its purpose is to provide high-quality continuing education for unit service volunteers and professionals so that the units they serve have a successful, quality program.
Listed below are the requirements for each degree:
Bachelors of Commissioner Science Degree (BCS): Complete seven courses of instruction, at least 5 of the courses at the bachelors program level.
Masters of Commissioner Science Degree (MCS): Completion of seven additional courses of instruction (total of 14), at least seven of the courses at the master’s program level.
Doctor of Commissioner Science Degree (DCS): Completion of 10 additional courses of instruction not used to qualify for other college awards (total of 24), at least five of the courses at the doctor’s program level.
All courses are scheduled for one hour. Early bird registration cost is $20; regular registration is $30. Registration includes quality instruction, lunch in the union dining facility on the 1st floor, your training certificate, and a surprise take home item.
