Buddy Teams: This is a Two-Man Team event. Please fill out registration below for your boater and non-boater.

Entry Forms and Fees: Completed entry forms and fees for tournament to be received by Sept. 15th, 2009 will be $125 per boat. Entries after this and on the day of the event will be $150 per boat. Cash only on the day of the tournament. Maximum of 2 occupants per boat.   Makes checks payable to the Boy Scouts of America.

Pre-Tournament Check-In: All boats must check in at the Hell Creek Boat Ramp starting at 5am. Take off numbers will be issued and live wells will be checked.

Sportsmanship:  Each contestant is expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety, and resource conservation.

Safety:  All tournament contestants must observe safe boating and fishing practices.  Each contestant is required to wear a Coast Guard approved, chest-type PDF while the combustion engine is running. No alcohol.

Boat Requirements:  Any boat 14 feet of longer and meeting BIA requirements will be permitted in the tournament.  Also each boat must be equipped with an aerated well large enough to keep your fish alive and shall contain ½ percent noniodized salt and be in proper working order.

 Permitted Areas: Fishing permitted by boat anywhere on the lake, except within 50 feet of another contestant’s “anchored boat”, or “off limits” area specified by regulatory agency. Observe all “No Wake Zones”.

Permitted Methods: Any artificial lure, including prepared pork trailers. No trolling.

 

 

Prizes and Awards:  Money and trophies will be awarded after the weigh-in starting at 4pm. Winners will be paid in cash.

Food: The Boy Scouts of America and local Boy and Cub Scouts will be preparing a meal after the event of hot dogs and hamburgers.  The Boy Scouts of America will accept free will donations.

Insurance: All boats shall have a minimum of $300,000 of liability insurance according to B.A.S.S regulations.

Camping/Over Night Arrangements:  There will be camping available and cabins for rent at Wilson State Park and Corps of Engineers Parks.  These arrangements are on your own. For more information call 785-658-2465

Take-Off: Take-off will be determined by order of registration.  After submitting forms and fees, teams will receive a confirmation letter with their number for take-off, i.e. first form received will result in a 1st position take-off

 

TOURNAMENT RULES

1.          All boats must meet all Coast Guard requirements and have an aireated livewell(s)

2.          No more than two contestants per boat.

3.          Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass will be weighed.

4.          Only fish measuring 15 inches for Largemouth and Smallmouth and Spotted bass with mouth closed.

5.          Fishing with artificial baits only, NO TROLLING

6.          Five fish limit per boat.

7.          NO DEAD FISH will be weighed.

8.          Late Penalty, 1 pound per minute, 15 minutes late, lose all fish.

9.          Life Jackets must be on and fastened anytime combustion engine is engaged.

10.      Live wells will be checked by tournament committee prior to start of tournament.

11.      Fish will be weighed in provided official weigh-in bags only.

12.     Ties will be broken by largest fish in your bag and then by number of fish in bag.

13.      Any protests must be in writing within 15 minutes after tournament ends.

14.      No alcohol during tournament hours or on tournament site.

15.     Decisions of Tournament Committee will be final.

16.      Announcements at pre-tournament check-in may take precedence.

17.      Time of weigh-in will be marked when all fish are in the official weigh-in bag and in line at the weigh-in station.

18.      Contestants are to stay in boats during the tournament.

19.      Take-off will be determined by order of registration.  After submitting forms and fees, teams will receive a confirmation letter with their number for take-off, i.e. first form received will result in a 1st position take-off.

20.     The Tournament Committee of this event expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any entry form.

21.      All applications for entry, determination of winners, and rights to awards and prizes are subject to the    approval of tournament officials.

22.     Contestants must have a valid Kansas fishing license in their possession unless exempt.

23.     Any artificially weighted or preserved bass will be disqualified and that contestant will be subject to   prosecution under federal law.

24.     All fish weighed in each day automatically become the property of the tournament committee and will, if possible, be returned live and healthy to Wilson Reservoir.
