The 2010 KSU Merit Badge Day packet and registration materials are now available. The event will take place on May 1 at the Manhattan Campus of Kansas State. Classes will beginning at 8:00 AM and will close at 5:00 PM. (more)

Centennial Camp Program Committee Seeks Program Ideas

Centennial Camp, scheduled for October 8-10, 2010 in the heart of Salina looks will be the biggest Scouting celebration of the 100th Anniversary in central Kansas. Over 5,000 are expected to attend this three day, two night extravaganza. It is sure to be a “can’t miss” for every Tiger, Cub, Webelos, Scout, Venturer, or Explorer.

Jim Waters Selected as World Jamboree International Representative

Past Council President and Eagle Scout, Jim Waters has been selected to serve as the Coronado Area Council’s 2011 World Jamboree representative. The 2011 World Jamboree will be held in Sweden. (read more about Jamboree)

National Hall of Leadership Deadline Extended!

The Boy Scouts of America has seen thousands of terrific stories about Scouting leadership submitted to the National Hall of Leadership nomination database, but there are many more great stories out there yet to be shared! As everyone is busy ramping up for a busy 1OOth Anniversary year, it has been decided to extended the nomination deadline to April 2, 2010.

Council Shooting Sports Committee Announces Pheasant and Clay Shoot

The Shooting Sports Committee is pleased to announce it will hold a fundraiser on February 20 at the LaSada Sporting Clays facility in Russell, Kansas. Beginning at 8:00 AM with check-in, the event will include a guided pheasant and quail hunt, a tournament shooting round of sporting clays, lunch, refreshments.
