Catholic Committee on ScoutingCatholic Committee on Scouting

The Coronado Area Council Catholic Committee on Scouting is a committee of concerned Catholic lay people, Scout Leaders, and clergy whose mission is to administer to the Catholic youth of our community and treat Scouting as Youth Ministry.

The committee seeks to sustain and strengthen the relationship between the Boy Scouts of America and the Salina Catholic Diocese by working with the Coronado Area Council and local Packs, Troops, and Crews.

Religious Retreat

The Catholic Committee on Scouting will host the 2nd annual Boy Scout Retreatoree September 16-18, 2011 in Wilson, KS.  Wilson is home to our Scout Chaplain - Father Jarett Konrade.

This year our Patron in Blessed John Paul II and our theme is "Be Not Afraid - Fear Factor Style!"

The Scouts will get to put their bravery to the test as they encounter many trials and obstacles on their path to Sainthood.  Along the way, they will be shown many of the tools that our Catholic Faith has given us to meet hardships and to face our fears.
