Membership Recruitment

Among the most vital of any Council's components is its membership. The Council can have the most wonderful array of programs found anywhere; it can have unlimited financial resources to fund those programs; it can have excellent camps and other facilities; it can have highly trained and exceptionally talented professionals on staff. But without youth and adult membership, everything else is irrelevant.

Membership is the primary ingredient in the well-mixed blend of all the other ingredients in the Scouting program of unequalled youth development.

Membership Recruitment Information

The second annual statewide School Night for Scouting will be held Thursday, August 28, 2008.  Every boy and girl across the state grades 1st - 5th will be invited to come to their school or community location to join.  There will be games and prizes given out as well as information given to parents about what Scouting can do for our youth.
