Questions about Ordering Popcorn through orderpopcorn.com

1)  How do I get an order key?

     The Unit Popcorn Kernel needs to enter the Scout into the Trails End Popcorn System.  The Scouts are entered under the "Scout" tab.  Once entered, he will be assisgned an Order Key.  This Order Key will allow him to receive credit for any sales completed through the orderpopcorn.com program.  The Key Code serves as both the username and temporary password for the Scout the first time his family enters the orderpopcorn.com website. under the "Scout Sign-In" entry.  Once in, he can create his own password.  From inside the system, he can create an email that will have the link containing the orderpopcorn.com address AND his key code, so he doesn’t have to type it into an email.  He can also send a regular email (be sure to include the orderpopcorn.com address and his key code) so he can maybe add a picture of himself at camp or some other Scouting activity.

2)  Does the Scout receive credit for the sales for prizes?

    Yes.  On-Line Sales received during the sales period can be used toward prizes.

3)  Does the Scout receive credit for the sales for scholarship?

    Yes.

4)  How do I track his sales?

    In the Trails End Popcorn System, you can track the orderpopcorn.com sales under the "Orders" tab.

5)  Do we have to add the orders to our final order?

    No.  The orderpopcorn.com sales are handled separately and the product is directly shipped.  You do not have to order it.

6)  How do we receive our commission from the sales?

    After the sales period concludes, the Coronado Area Council will receive the commissions from Trails End.  Once received, we will issue the unit commissions directly into the unit accounts.  The Committee Chair will receive a letter informing the unit that the money have been deposited.  If the unit does not have an account, a check will be mailed to the Committee Chair.

7)  Is this option avaiable just during the sale?

    No. It allows for year round sales.  The prize credit is only during the fall sales period but the unit will receive commissions for sales the entire year and Scouts that have qualified for the scholarship will also receive the credit.  The commission checks will be distributed in June and December of each year.  If the volume of sales increases, distributions may become more frequent.
